At the early morning of Monday, April 04, Myung-soo and I gave a presentation about rising of oil price. We introduced a lot of recently issues and talked about this matters all together. We focused on the causes and effects by rising oil price and what will be happened in Korea as well. Myung-soo explained why we choose this topic and some terms that other students might not know and I gave a presentation about effects and solutions on this matter. After that, most of people asked about effects and solutions.
After question and answer, we discuss some controversial issues. For me, the most impressive information was why and how the economic inflation is happened? However, I think that the explanation of that part was not enough to let rest of student understand. Even though it was, some people’s ideas were very interesting. For example, about the question ‘In our daily life, how can we save the oil efficiently?’ Green team said, the government should encourage people to use bicycles instead of cars and also they should lent bicycles to people. Yellow team insists that the nuclear power is the best alternative energy, if the worst incident does not happen like Japanese case.
In conclusion, this topic is very controversial and hot in all round the world. The reason why this topic is more important in Korea is we import 100% regarding to oil. Therefore, it has something to do with our lives very closely such as changing smaller car and what to eat today’s lunch as well. Finally, we cannot solve this matter without the big support of the government.

ReplyDeleteI agree with your opinion that we should save oil as much as we can in daily life. However, government role is more important. According to an article I read today, MB goverment has the most benefits from oil. Korean government should reduce the rate of gas taxes.

ReplyDeleteI also agree that Nuclear power can be alternative energy instead of Oil. It doesn’t release any harmful component. So Government have to build more nuclear plant than now.
ReplyDeleteRising oil price is one of the most important problems to all people. So, we should try to find causes and establish a long-term policy. I will do my best for saving oil and the world do it.

We must stop this situation by doing something to reduce oil consumption.
yep! i couldn't agree more! there must be a tax down. the tax my government imposes on is, i guess, too high, though it's not true. big support of the government.. i reckon that that's what we need now!
ReplyDeleteI understand your opinion. And it's ture for many things to be associated with oil price. but you said we can't solve it without governmen. i think we can reduce our oil using ourselves. we can turn off light, computer so on. so i think we can have the key of kind of solving it.
ReplyDeleteEven though we were woried about the oil price, recently the cost was down. So the first problem is developing the alternative. Time after time there was no oil. Then what should we do? Of course we have to find out the alternative.
